Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Trakven website, mobile application and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your country. You are responsible for your account, your sign-in credentials and activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account is compromised.
Who we are
Trakven is operated by Madhavan Ramesh, an independent software developer based in India. In these Terms, "Trakven", "we", "us" and "our" refer to him. You can reach us at hello@trakven.app.
The Services
Trakven provides organization, reminder, habit, calendar, finance-tracking and optional AI tools. Features may change as the product develops. Trakven is not a medical, financial, legal, accounting or emergency service. Reminders and notifications can be delayed or fail; do not rely on them for emergencies, medication, safety-critical events or legally binding deadlines.
AI assistant and voice input
The AI assistant is optional. When you use it, your message and relevant context from your own Trakven data are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. If you use voice input, your recording is sent to the same provider for transcription and is not stored by us. Voice input currently supports English only. The assistant can draft new reminders, tasks and logs for you to review, but it never creates, edits or deletes anything without your confirmation, and it has no access to your finance vault.
AI output can be wrong. Check anything important before you act on it. Do not submit information you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.
Usage limits. AI use is subject to fair-use limits, which currently include a daily cap on the number of prompts (typed and spoken alike), a maximum length per voice recording, a maximum number of messages per chat, and a limit on how many past chats are kept. These limits keep the service sustainable and may change. We will show you when you reach one.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, transmit and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure and improve the Services. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Services, violate law or others' rights, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, reverse engineer where prohibited, scrape the Services, or use them to create or distribute harmful, deceptive or unlawful material.
AI output
AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing output and for decisions or actions based on it. Do not use AI output as professional advice or as the sole basis for high-impact decisions.
Finance features
Finance tools are for personal organization only. They do not provide financial, investment, tax or accounting advice, execute transactions, or guarantee outcomes. You are responsible for verifying calculations and records.
Finance encryption is optional. If you enable it, you are responsible for choosing and remembering your finance passphrase and for saving the recovery key. Trakven cannot see those secrets and cannot decrypt or recover an encrypted finance vault if the passphrase, recovery key and all already-unlocked devices are lost. Device biometric or screen-lock verification may be used only to confirm access on an already-unlocked device for finance recovery; biometric matching is handled by your device operating system and Trakven does not receive biometric data.
If you disable finance encryption after verifying with your passphrase or recovery key, Finance data is decrypted on your device and future finance saves are stored as plaintext vault data in Trakven sync.
Availability and updates
We may update, suspend or discontinue features, perform maintenance, or impose reasonable usage limits. We do not promise that the Services will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device.
Intellectual property
Trakven and its software, branding, design and other materials—excluding your content—belong to us or our licensors. These Terms provide a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Services.
Termination and account deletion
You may stop using Trakven at any time. Signed-in users may permanently delete their account through Settings > Account & Devices > Delete account. After the required warnings, renewed authentication and typed confirmation, deletion begins immediately. Your account, user content, finance vault, uploaded files and other associated active-service data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Deleting your Trakven account does not delete your Google account. Limited residual backup or legally required records may remain only as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, comply with law, or address a material violation of these Terms.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Trakven will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity arising from use of the Services. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Trakven harmless from claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising out of content you submit or your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in India will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. Where those laws apply, you retain the right to bring claims before the authorities or courts of your home jurisdiction.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Trakven regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
